Urofollitropin Products: Actions and Uses
The main physiological function of Urofollitropin (follicle stimulating
hormone, FSH) in Urofollitropin (urine Follicle Stimulating Hormone, u-FSH) is
to promote the growth and development of various cells of the follicle: to
promote the differentiation of mesenchymal cells around the follicle cells into
inner and outer layers of theca cells and Synthesize luteinizing hormone (LH)
receptors; promote the proliferation of follicular granulosa cells and the
activation of the aromatase system in granulosa cells to convert androgen into
estrogen; promote the secretion of follicular fluid and gradually increase the
size of follicle cells.
FSH is mainly aimed at infertility caused by ovulation
disorders and is widely used in assisted reproductive technologies such as
artificial insemination and test-tube baby. This product is different from HMG,
only contains FSH, not LH. FSH mainly stimulates the growth, development, and
maturation of follicles in the first half of menstruation, and an appropriate
amount of LH is also required to participate. This product is suitable for
anovulatory patients with insufficient FSH but not LH deficiency.
