There are two types of gonadotropin (Gn) ovulation stimulating drugs, one
is follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), mainly urogenic FSH and genetically
reprogrammed FSH. The other is human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG), which mainly
consists of ordinary HMG and highly purified HMG(hp-hmg).
There are two kinds of urogenic FSH. One is extracted and purified from the
urine of postmenopausal women with impurities <5%. It only has the activity
of FSH and has a relatively stable biotiter. The other is high-purity human
gonadotropin FSH, which is extracted from the urine of postmenopausal women and
processed to eliminate irrelevant proteins. The LH activity of each 75IUFSH is
less than 1IU.
The recombinant gene FSH, which does not contain LH, has absolute purity
and higher consistency. Its injection pen is designed to adjust the dose unit of
25U, which can reduce the dosage adjustment range of the individual regimen to
25U and more flexibly control the ovarian response.
Numerous studies have shown that as a result of recombinant FSH in IVF has
absolute purity, so can in the case of lower total dose get more high-quality
oocytes, form the ideal quantity of high quality embryos, let patients have more
chances of pregnancy, in addition, follicular phase 1 ~ 2 d shorter than other
drugs, reduce the patient's blood and pain of injection.
